Tundra Transport grew from a simple local delivery opportunity into a commercial courier company serving businesses throughout Winnipeg and surrounding communities.
It wasn't supposed to become a courier company.
Some of Tundra's earliest work involved delivering prepared meals from a Winnipeg meal provider to veterans in the community. It was straightforward work, but it established something that would become an important part of the company.
When customers needed a little extra help, the answer was usually to find a way to help.
More delivery requests followed. Different customers needed different things moved, and what began as one local delivery opportunity slowly started becoming something bigger.
Then commercial customers started asking for more.
An opportunity came along to handle deliveries that didn't fit neatly into the traditional parcel model.
Materials weren't always going to a reception desk or loading dock. Sometimes they needed to reach an active job site and be carried to where the customer actually needed them.
Tundra took on the work. As demand grew, another driver and vehicle followed, creating the capacity to serve more businesses and take on more commercial deliveries.
Growth came from doing the work well.
There wasn't one giant leap. Each new opportunity created the capacity and experience for the next one.
